“Faithful is He that calleth you, who also will do it. Brethren, pray for us.” 1Thessalonians 5:24-25
Hello from Canada,
Summer is finally here in Saskatchewan. Spring is usually rather cold. We even turned our heat on in June. But now it is July and the heat has arrived (if you would call 80 degrees Fahrenheit hot). Our ministry in Canada has been going great.
We have had a lot of people complete and return their correspondence lessons. In the second quarter, we graded 687 lessons, sent out 715, awarded 46 completion certificates and saw 7 students receive the Lord as their Savior add-ing up to 11 for the year so far! We found out that we have some Amish students doing the lessons in Ontario! That is such a blessing that our paper “missionaries” are entering places that we cannot access in person!
Our students in Belize are increasing. We have 10 students there now. What a blessing! The only problem in sending out lessons to Belize is that it is very costly. There is one big family there doing the lessons. Sometimes it costs over $5.00 to mail, but God is providing the funds. We had a hymn sing and supper in our little town of Hepburn this past April to raise funds for postage. God blessed us by helping us raise $4,743.00. Praise God!
Prayer requests
- We have been accepted to present the mission at the Waldheim Mission Conference July 27-30. This Faith Promise mission conference was established in 1953 by Oswald J. Smith. Pray for God to expand our ministry according to His will!
- Our truck has been acting up the last 3 months. It has reached 404,000 km by the grace of God. Pray that we will be able to find out what the problem is and that God will guide us on our next steps.
Praises
- God has blessed our health lately. Both Penny and I are careful to follow doctors’ orders, so we can continue to do God’s work up here.
- God has been supplying all our needs more than we could ever expect.
- I had another great year driving a school bus. I really enjoy it, and my pay for the short amount of time I drive is more than I would expect. I am grateful that God led me to this job.
- Thanks again for all your support spiritually and financially. We feel so blessed knowing that we have godly folks supporting us in this ministry.
In His service,
